About Me

My photo
Greenotter
I started blogging the Clayton i-house starting in Oct. 2008, before it was in production. I'm not employed by Clayton, or any manufacturer or dealer, just interested in everything about Clayton's first widely available green manufactured home, which is now out of production. Unfortunately, the mortgage meltdown housing crisis struck, and between the higher price and the unique look of the i-house, it didn't sell. After selling a dozen or two at most, Clayton no longer produces the i-house and calls it a "concept" house, an experiment used to gauge what people want in newer features of manufactured homes. My other interests include sustainable housing, the Solar Decathlon, and trailers in general. I'm a trailer nut, but don't live in one. Maybe in a few years I will. Anyone who wants to ask me a question or make a comment to me personally and doesn't want to make it a public comment can write me at: zorastro(at)gmail(dot)com
